Aalborg–Frederikshavn Line

The Aalborg - Frederikshavn Line is a Danish railway line between Aalborg and Frederikshavn. The branch from Nørre Sundby to Frederikshavn was opened on 16 August 1871, the branch from Aalborg to Nørre Sundby (Limfjordsbroen) on 7 January 1879. The line runs north from Ålborg to Hjørring and turns east from there to Fredriskhavn, making the rail distance about 80 km, where the highway distance is about 60 km. From Hjørring there is a railway line further north to the town and ferry port Hirtshals.
